About
A Video Production Company Founder Doing Things Differently
Goose & Racket Productions is led by Jack Godwin, a music-loving sandcastle fan with buckets of videography experience and enthusiasm.
My career has taken me many incredible places over the past 10+ years.
It’s given me the opportunity to work on cutting-edge content with lots of the UK’s brightest creative brains for some of the world’s most-loved brands and organisations.
Managing multi-million-pound campaigns
Working for an award-winning video agency
Producing content for household-name brands
Interviewing a Nobel Prize winner
Hello, I’m Jack
I’m one of those people who always knew they wanted to work with images. I’ve been into video and photography for as long as I can remember, which is how I ended up as the proud owner of a media production degree from the University of Westminster.
Straight out of uni, I landed a highly sought-after job as a runner at Channel 4. I was once responsible for ensuring Countdown reached the right room to be broadcast on time — this is surely undeniable proof that I’m a very safe pair of hands!
In-House Work for an Award-Winning Agency
After my time at Channel 4, I joined the art department of an award-winning video production agency in Essex. As a production designer, I created technology, white goods, and toy ads for household-name brands.
In that role, I wore many hats. I was responsible for tasks including set design, prop sourcing, and storyboarding, as well as shooting content in the studio and on location. I also art-directed countless live shoots and 3D-animated product videos.
Nobel Prize Winners & Multi-Million-Dollar Budgets
I eventually decided it was time to move back to my home city of Bath, where I accepted a position at a science publishing company. In this role, I travelled the world managing multi-million-pound campaigns for major global brands.
I frequently attended trade shows, covered events, and conducted interviews. I even got the opportunity to film an interview with Fraser Stoddart, a Nobel Prize winner!
I’ve worked with Jack on many projects over the years. He is … flexible and accommodating on projects … and he has a great work ethic. He is also a really nice person, which I find always makes life just that little bit easier!

Outside the Studio
A Sunny Orchard/Straw Boater Combo
In 2024, I switched to working for myself as a freelance videographer and haven’t looked back! I’m still based in Bath and building Goose & Racket into the video production company of my dreams.
Outside of work, I’m a lover of vinyl records, gardening, and sandcastle-building. My ambition in life is to have an orchard where I can spend sunny days reading books in a classy racing-green deckchair while wearing a straw boater hat.
Until that day comes, I fill my time with music and art. I volunteer at Glastonbury doing painting… so I might not be very responsive during the last weekend in June.
